I got some time in the studio this morning before succumbing to my cold. It (the cold) evidently arrived yesterday while I was waiting for the tow truck outside yesterday... don't ask. So I did a couple of pieces on masonite before my head became too big and heavy to hold up. Neither are completely finished - need a few finishing flourishes - but I like them both. One is kind of weird. I got to use a note I found in a book from the thrift store a couple of years back from a guy named Justin to the best girlfriend he's ever had. The piece is one of those that probably no one will ever like or get but me, but that's okay. Sometimes you just need to do those.
They both need some crayon and colored pencil finishing touches... maybe after a nap.
